From the Ocean to the Cloud – Now and the Future
Much is invested in the collection and publication of marine datasets, yet trustworthy data can be difficult to find and difficult to use.
In this talk, we will explore a range of data streams collected by the Integrated Marine Observing System (IMOS) and accessible via the Australian Ocean Data Network (AODN), a cloud-based data system.
In this talk, we will explore data discovery through IMOS that makes information easier to find and easier to use.
We will showcase the upcoming new IMOS AODN Data Portal. Accessing IMOS and other data easier than ever before. Highlight some of the ways to that we are using to make data more easy to use, download CSV, GeoTIFF and cloud optimised for data analysis
We will highlight the new IMOSLive website, interactive visualisation of IMOS NRT datastreams to help people understand data.
Finally, we will highlight the new IMOS HeatStress product AusTemp and some others, maybe the NRT ones
- Update on the new Portal
- Update on IMOSLive –
- Highlights of new applicable datasets like austemp and other nrt datastreams
