Judge Cole was appointed to the District Court of New South Wales in 2019. From 2019-2024, she was a Deputy President and the Division Head of the Occupational Division and the Administrative and Equal Opportunity Division of NCAT.

Prior to her appointments in NSW, Judge Cole was a judge of the District Court of South Australia from 2002-2019, the Senior Judge of the Environment Court from 2010-2019 and the Deputy President of SACAT from 2014-2017.
