Sophie White is a Services Member of the Veterans Review Board and was first appointed in 2019. She is also a legal officer in the Royal Australian Navy and has experience in private practice as a solicitor. She served in the Royal Australian Navy full time as a legal officer for 17 years before transferring to the Navy Reserves. She has operational experience in Afghanistan as a legal adviser in the Coalition Headquarters in 2009-2010 and has served on border protection operations. She is presently on a 12 month leave of absence from the Veterans Review Board while undertaking full time Naval service as the Fleet Legal Officer at Fleet Headquarters in Sydney.
