Professor Casson is an ophthalmic clinician/scientist with special interests in glaucoma, neuroprotection, epidemiologyand translational research. He completed his PhD at Oxford University and a Master of Biostatistics at University of Adelaide. He is a Fellow of the Academy of Asia-Pacific Professors of Ophthalmology and is the Chair of the NGO, Sight For All. He is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He works in private practice and is a consultant ophthalmic surgeon at the Royal Adelaide Hospital. He aims to foster interdisciplinary solutions to eye-related problems and promote sustainable eye health care throughout the Asia-Pacific.
