Annette combines her in-depth understanding of the incidence and epidemiology of ocular trauma with knowledge in the design and development of injury prevention strategies. She is widely published internationally in ocular trauma and the development of eye injury prevention strategies. Annette completed her PhD in Ocular Trauma at the University of Sydney in 2023. She holds appointments as a Research Fellow at Save Sight Institute, University of Sydney and Lions Eye Institute, University of Western Australia in Perth and is a board member of The American Society of Ophthalmic Trauma and The Asia Pacific Society of Ophthalmic Trauma. Annette is Director Global Standardisation for EssilorLuxottica and chairs the ISO committee for personal protective equipment and committees relating to eye protection, sunglasses, ARVR devices and spectacles.
