Anne Sutherland

Anne leads Sutherland Kelly Mediation, based in Melbourne, specialising in organisational and employment, human rights, commercial, partnership and wills & estates matters. Prior to establishing her mediation practice, she was a solicitor in one of Australia’s leading commercial law firms, and then worked in human rights law reform.

Anne is a mediator appointed to the Victorian Civil & Administrative Tribunal (VCAT); a facilitator for the Victorian Department of Justice and Community Safety, Restorative Engagement and Redress Scheme addressing allegations of abuse in Victoria Police; and a former facilitator for the Office of the Commonwealth Ombudsman, Restorative Engagement Program and of DART (Defence Abuse Response Taskforce). Anne has held various appointments as mediator, conciliator and arbitrator, including the Administrative Decisions Tribunal of NSW; the Workers Compensation Commission of NSW; and the Health Conciliation Registry of NSW.

Anne is a Senior Fellow, Faculty of Law, Monash University where she lectures in commercial alternative dispute resolution in the post-graduate program.
